NEWTOWN, Conn. — Some children were among those killed in a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., on Friday, The Hartford Courant reported.Children don't deserve to be shot at whether at home or at school. And the teachings of evolution and "millions of years" is the unlikely motive behind the shootings. Teaching them that the earth is a few thousands of years old and that scaly reptilian dinosaurs once lived with humans will never, EVER make things safe for students to go to school or become highly intellectual people who always stay out of trouble, respect their parents and elders, obey the law, etc. Look at what religion and religious teachings have done to bring huge harm and atrocities to every innocent being on earth, including children. Everyday millions of stories of unimaginable atrocities committed in the name of religion are reported all over Facebook, Twitter, the whole nine yards. Sure lots of good things have been done in the name of religion, but the bad sadly outweighs the good when it comes to such incidents like that one idiot dad who carved a pentagram, a religious symbol, on his son's body to celebrate some holy day on 12/12/12. Nothing can ever be anymore appalling or sickening than the likes of that!
The number of victims is unclear. Many of the shootings took place in a kindergarten classroom, the paper reported.
An official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is still under way told the Associated Press the gunman apparently had two guns. The school district remains on lockdown as police investigate the shootings. There are unconfirmed reports of two shooters, according to the paper.C
